WCC-SEA and its many organizational and fleet members recognize the value clean transportation alternatives bring to promoting public health. Clean fuel alternatives, such as natural gas, ethanol, propane, hydrogen and electric fuel promote public health, and are becoming the most economical method for modern vehicular transportation. Increasing fuel economy and reducing idling time are related strategies.
WCC-SEA strives to reduce our dependence on petroleum-based and imported fuels of fleets in Southeastern Wisconsin and meeting vehicle emissions standards, as mandated by the federal government for the Southeastern Wisconsin severe ozone non-attainment region (Milwaukee, Kenosha, Ozaukee, Racine, Washington and Waukesha counties).
WCCSEA works with interested parties to encourage the use of alternative fuels and their vehicles (AFVs), and develop the refueling infrastructure necessary to sustain the industry.
